Hi! This is a place for my (strange) thoughts and (silly) creations.

Who am I?

My full name is Ninoslav Mrvelj (but please, Nino), I graduated with a degree in dramaturgy (Master's in: film dramaturgy) at the Academy of Dramatic Art. I scribble everything—from fiction to essays, from aesthetics to ethics. My artistic interests include the relationship of love to social conditions, exploring characters’ psyches, and storytelling through aesthetics.

I'm an associate member of Croatian Screenwriters and Playwrights Guild.

So far, I’ve written for theatre, TV, and film. I also write poetry and prose, and every now and then I dabble in criticism. In academic pursuits, I’m obsessed with film and literary theory, aesthetics, ethics, and all possible combinations of these. My theoretical interests include media specificity, cognitivism, and the relationship between political theory and theories of art.

I am a full member of Croatian Association of Drama Artists.

What is all of this?

This is the modus operandi of my mind that sometimes has a need to develop an abstract thought in writing. Or is it just a dream?

What do I pišem?

Screenplay, prose, commercial or a copy? Everything is within reach. Whether by hand or by pen. Or I’m working with what’s already written. If I’ve already written something, you can find it in the Library. Good luck.
